Values
Yada’s work is based on the following values:
Compassion
To work with empathy, treating each person as an individual, never judging or pursuing our own agenda.
Courage
To be bold with our ideas, to actively promote social justice for all, oppose all discriminatory practice and to challenge myths and stereotypes that surround the sex industry.
Congruence
To work from a place of honesty and openness, to be accountable to one another and promote self-care.
Creativity
To celebrate and use our individual giftings and talents, and find new ways of inspiring ourselves as a team and our service users.
Connection
To be a team, recognising the value in collaboration, sharing ideas and offering one another support. To work with other agencies and organisations, where appropriate, in order to provide a holistic response to the needs of women in the sex industry.
Yada has a Christian ethos, which inspires us to treat everyone that we work with (including all staff, volunteers and service users) with dignity, respect and acceptance.
We work with any woman regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, background, ability, culture or religious beliefs.
We are members of National Ugly Mugs service and affiliated to Beyond The Streets.
